WHAT DOES HOME MEAN TO YOU?
“For me, the very specific smell of the air conditioning in Hong Kong airport reminds me of home. It both invokes a sense of excitement and longing, like when you hang out with someone and then they go, and you have that withdrawal that hits you in the gut. That’s what the smell elicits out of me. The airport is such a fascinating space, it’s like this threshold of coming and going, there’s a weird emotionality to that.”
