MOCA is more than a museum. Whereas museums traditionally collect and reflect on the past, this is just a component of what MOCA is about. With consideration to history, we also tell the stories of contemporary Chinese Australian experience, as we work collectively to imagine what the future may be. This underpins all aspects of what we do, towards a greater understanding of the importance of these stories within the overarching narrative of Australian society.
Having evolved from the community, MOCA is a home|家 to these stories and a custodian for the physical objects and content in which their resonance is contained.
